The Mangonui Hotel, sometimes known as the New Settlers Hotel, was the fourth and last of the hotels established in Mangonui over a 63-year period.

It was built in 1905–1906 by John Bray, then the proprietor of the Old Oak Hotel at the southern end of the village.

The Historic Places Trust of New Zealand considers the two-storeyed Mangonui Hotel building to be the most beautiful old hotel in the country. It holds a Category One rating from the Trust.
